I recently had the pleasure of escaping to the Montrose Golf Resort & Spa in Coorg for a little Easter retreat, and I must say, it was a breath of fresh air-quite literally! Nestled amidst lush coffee plantations and the serene beauty of nature, the resort offers a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The rooms were spacious and thoughtfully designed, featuring a lovely balcony that overlooks the gardens, providing a great spot for an early morning cup of coffee. Speaking of coffee, the buffet breakfast was a delightful way to start the day, with both continental options and local delicacies that showcase the region's culinary flair. I particularly enjoyed engaging with the head chef, who was both passionate and knowledgeable about the dishes he served. Beyond the fantastic food, my stay was made even better with the outstanding hospitality from the staff, including Urmila, who made dining an absolute joy with her warm and courteous service. And let's not forget about Maximus, the charming white horse at the stable-an awesome highlight for anyone looking to indulge in some equine adventures! While it's true that the resort is a bit removed from popular attractions, the tranquil surroundings offered an immersive experience into the local coffee culture, which I found exceptionally enriching. I think the combination of relaxation, top-notch service, and delicious food makes Montrose one of those must-visit places, especially for fellow lovers of great beer and travel.
